AIR CONDITIONING

Service time est. 30-60min

The Air Conditioning (A/C) Recharge is a combined recovery, recycle, and recharge service using the specified refrigerant to provide chilled air to the passenger compartment. We check, vacuum, purge and recharge your air conditioning system according to the owner’s manual specifications. Grease Monkey® technicians who perform the air conditioning recharge are certified through an EPA-approved training program.

AIR FILTERS

Service time est. 10-20min

Engine Air Filter– The air filter traps airborne contaminants like dirt and dust, and keeps them from getting into the engine’s moving parts. The general guideline is to change your air filter when it’s no longer translucent or appears dirty, and can no longer do an effective job.
Cabin Air Filter– The system includes a cabin air filter to help remove dust, pollen, mold spores and other particles from the air you breathe inside your vehicle. Most vehicle manufacturers recommend a cabin air filter replacement every 12 months/15,000 miles, or as needed.

ALIGNMENTS

Service time est. 30-60min

Alignment assures your tires meet the road at the proper angle, your wheels are pointing straight and your tires are centered in the wheel wells. It adjusts the angles of your vehicle’s wheels to original specs for best gas mileage, proper road contact, a smooth ride and longest tire life. The most common signs of misalignment are pulling to one side while you’re driving, unusual tire wear and a steering wheel that’s off-center even though your vehicle is pointed straight. But these symptoms can have other causes, sometimes simpler and sometimes not.

BATTERY

Service time est. 20-45min

Battery Replacement– Your vehicle’s battery supplies electrical power to the starter and the other electrical components of the vehicle needed to start the engine. Depending on where you live and how you drive, the condition of your charging system, and other factors, a battery lasts about four years on average.
Battery Guard Service– Have a Battery Guard Service performed when a visual inspection of the battery shows corrosion has started.

BRAKES

Service time est. 60-120min

Brake Service– A brake service at Grease Monkey® centers includes a free, thorough inspection of the vehicle’s brake system components and a short interview with the vehicle owner on the history and any symptoms of the brake system. If maintenance or repair is indicated, you will receive a free written estimate for your review and authorization.
Brake Fluid Flush– The first step of a Grease Monkey® Brake Fluid Flush is to test the vehicle’s brake fluid for copper. If the test shows copper levels at or above a specified level, service is needed.

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT

Service time est. 30-60min

If the check engine light illuminates, it will either blink or remain constantly illuminated, depending on the problem. A blinking light, or in some cars a red light instead of a yellow or orange light, indicates a problem that needs immediate attention. Either way, you should have the vehicle checked by a mechanic.

DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES

Service time est. 30-60min

If the check engine light illuminates, it will either blink or remain constantly illuminated, depending on the problem. A blinking light, or in some cars a red light instead of a yellow or orange light, indicates a problem that needs immediate attention. Either way, you should have the vehicle checked by a mechanic. A car diagnostic test provides a quick and accurate assessment of your vehicle. Technicians will scan your vehicle’s onboard computer, document any diagnostic trouble codes, and check for service notifications issued by your vehicle’s manufacturer.

DIESEL EXHAUST FLUID

Service time est. 10-20min

Diesel exhaust fluid is a mixture of high purity synthetic urea and purified water, used in Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems on diesel engines. SCR is a leading technology that meets the 2010 EPA mandate to reduce levels of oxides of nitrogen (NOx) emitted from diesel engines. Warnings will display on the instrument panel when the diesel exhaust fluid level is getting low and should be refilled. You will lose noticeable horsepower if the diesel exhaust fluid level gets too low.

DIFFERENTIAL SERVICE

Service time est. 30-60min

The differential is part of your vehicle’s drivetrain, and is a gearbox located between the drive wheels of your vehicle. During the service, the old differential fluid is replaced with new fluid that contains additives to help keep the seals, gears, and bearings operating properly.

FUEL & EMISSION SYSTEM CLEANING

Service time est. 20-45min

The fuel system provides power to your engine. After about 4,000 to 5,000 miles of driving, dirt, varnishes and carbon deposits form in the fuel system, on the intake valves and in the combustion chamber. Manufacturers have yet to include fuel & emissions cleaning in their maintenance schedules. However, a vehicle can lose up to 15% of its original efficiency after only 30,000 miles due to carbon buildup.

FUEL FILTER REPLACEMENT

Service time est. 10-20min

Clean fuel is essential for efficient engine performance. We recommend Fuel Filter Replacement in accordance with your owner’s manual recommended service intervals, but not all manufacturers have a recommended interval for changing the fuel filter. Your Grease Monkey® technician will check the appropriate resources and let you know the proper interval for your vehicle.

Full Service/16 Pt. Oil Change

Service time est. 15-30min

Oil is the lifeblood of your vehicle’s engine. Changing the oil and filter according to your owner’s manual specifications will keep your engine running smoothly and maintain your warranty. Every Full Service Oil Change includes the free 16-PT Inspection.

HEADLIGHTS

Service time est. 10-15min

Over time, road debris, harsh chemicals, weather and sunlight can leave your headlights foggy, hazy and discolored. This results in not only an unattractive look, but more importantly, inferior illumination when you need it. With Grease Monkey® Headlight Restoration, scratches and pitted surfaces are smoothed and polished, and the cloudy coating is removed, resealing the headlight with a clear, hard resin sealant.

LIGHTING

Service time est. 30-60min

When headlights and other bulbs are working properly, they can reduce the chances of an accident by helping to ensure that your vehicle is easily visible and your intentions to turn, stop, or signal a hazard are clearly known. That’s why, when they break or lose their brightness over time, it’s important to replace them.

POWER STEERING

Service time est. 20-45min

The power steering system operates as the control system for your wheels. It depends on power from the vehicle and the power steering fluid used to lubricate and keep the system free of contamination. Grease Monkey® technicians recommend a Power Steering Fluid Flush in accordance with your owner’s manual recommended service intervals. If none is given, many fluid manufacturers recommend a complete power steering fluid flush once a year or every 30,000 miles.

RADIATOR SERVICES

Service time est. 30-60min

Radiator Flush & Fill– During Grease Monkey® Radiator Flush & Fill , we inspect the cooling system components and pressure-test the system to check for leaks. Your Grease Monkey® technician will check your owner’s manual and let you know the proper interval for your vehicle.
Radiator Cap Replacement– If your radiator cap doesn’t hold the exact specified pressure, it should be replaced.

SERPENTINE BELT

Service time est. 30-60min

The serpentine drive belt (different from a timing belt) is a continuous loop belt that snakes its way through and around your engine compartment to drive power to major engine parts, like the alternator, water pump, power steering pump and the air conditioner compressor. A Grease Monkey® technician will inspect the belt and let you know if it needs to be replaced.

STATE INSPECTION

Service time est. 10-30min

Participating Grease Monkey® centers provide state inspections and emissions testing. Your vehicle will be checked to determine if it passes inspection based on the state guidelines, and recommendations provided if needed to bring the vehicle into compliance. Check with your local Grease Monkey center to find out if they offer this service!

TIRE ROTATION

Service time est. 30-60min

Tire rotation is the removal and relocation of each tire on your vehicle. Each tire on your vehicle wears differently, depending on their position on your vehicle, your personal driving style, your vehicle’s weight distribution, and performance characteristics. We recommend tire rotation in accordance with your owner’s manual recommended service intervals. Your Grease Monkey® technician will check your owner’s manual and let you know the proper tire rotation service interval for your specific vehicle.

TIRE SERVICES

Service time est. 30-60min

Tires are the connection between your vehicle and the surface of the road. A critical part of your vehicle’s suspension system, tires are responsible for transmitting the forces of driving, steering, and braking to the surface of the road. Although tires are easily maintained, they are often overlooked. The air inside your tires and the design of the tire influence vehicle performance, tire tread life, and ride comfort. Tire maintenance is vital for getting the most out of your tires by maximizing mileage and tread wear.

TRANSFER CASE SERVICE

Service time est. 20-45min

The transfer case is a gearbox that splits the power between the front and rear axles on 4-wheel-drive vehicles. A gearbox service should be based on your owner’s manual recommended intervals, or under special circumstances, such as water contamination. Your Grease Monkey® technician will check your owner’s manual and let you know the proper gearbox service interval for your specific vehicle.

TRANSMISSION/ TRANSAXLE SERVICES

Service time est. 20-45min

Automatic transmissions work by transmitting power from the engine to the wheels through a fluid medium. The fluid also lubricates moving parts and cools the transmission. A fluid exchange is performed, which removes and refills nearly 100% of the transmission fluid held in the transmission, including the torque converter.

WASHER FLUID CHECK AND FILL

Service time est. 5-10min

Washer fluid will run out eventually, though each spray uses only a minuscule amount of fluid. In messy winter weather and in environments where the road conditions are dusty and dirty, you will need more washer fluid to keep the windshield clean. The washer fluid should be filled at every service interval, whenever it runs out, or at a change of seasons.

WHEEL BALANCING

Service time est. 30-60min

Proper wheel balance helps ensure a smooth ride, and minimizes tire wear. Out-of-balance wheels can cause vibration in your vehicle’s ride, premature or irregular tire wear, and unnecessary wear on your vehicle’s suspension. Grease Monkey® technicians recommend you have your wheels balanced each time you rotate your tires, according to your owner’s manual specifications.

WIPER BLADE REPLACEMENT

Service time est. 5-10min

The effects of sunlight, ozone and oxidation cause the rubber blade of your wipers to deteriorate. Also, as windshields age, they get pitted from road debris, dirt and sand, and this causes wiper blades to wear faster. Your Grease Monkey® technician visually inspects your blades each time you come in for a Full Service Oil Change. You’ll also be asked how your wiper blades are working. If they need replacement, new wiper blades will be installed.

WINDSHIELD REPAIR

Service time est. 30-120min

Roads can be tough on windshields! All it takes is one small rock kicked up by a passing truck to damage your windshield, taking a chip out of it. Over time, this chip can spider out with cracks until your whole windshield is ruined. The repair consists of injecting a resin material into the center of the chipped area. Pressure is then applied using a vacuum device so that the resin spreads into the tiny cracks.
